Pioneer Village Museum
How fortunate that the Surface Creek Valley Historical Society operates and maintains Pioneer Town Museum. For this means that today we can see how the early settlers of Colorado lived. Not only is it educational, but interesting – a must for the whole family. more info
A visit to Pioneer Town Museum means a taste of frontier life during the past century in quaint Cedaredge, Colorado. As you walk along the wooden sidewalks of Pioneer Town's Main Street, you can visit the Coalby General Store, the print shop, the saloon, the States mining museum, the Girling Mercantile, the bank, the marshal's office, the jail house, the Wells Fargo office, and the barber shop which also doubled as a dental office.
Save some time for the working blacksmith shop, Sand Creek School House, and the award-winning Chapel of the Cross.
Pioneer Town is open to the public from Memorial Day weekend through Color Sunday in late September. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
