Pioneer Village Museum

The Surface Creek Valley Historical Society is in charge of operating and maintaining the Pioneer Town Museum. This interesting museum lets you see how Colorado residents lived in the past.

If you plan on visiting the Pioneer Town Museum you'll get to experience a bit of frontier life from the past century. Located in Cedaredge, Colorado the museum has wooden sidewalks recreating Pioneer Town's Main Street. Visit the Coalby General Store, the print shop, saloon, the States mining museum, Girling Mercantile, the bank, marshal's office, the jail house, Wells Fargo office, and the barber shop. In the past the barbershop was also a dental office. And don't forget to visit the blacksmith shop, Sand Creek School House, and the award-winning Chapel of the Cross.

Pioneer Town opens starting Memorial Day weekend until Color Sunday at the end of September. It's open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. You can book a special group tour all-year round by making an appointment.
