Grand Lake Classic Cross Country Ski Race
For nearly 30 years, racers and spectators have made The Grand Lake Classic Cross Country Ski Race one of the most popular winter events in the area. Usually occurring in mid-March, the Grand Lake Classic is a wonderful way to the pass the day, surrounded by the majestic Never Summer mountain range.
As the western gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake has
much to offer, including some of the best cross country skiing in Grand
County. The Grand Lake Classic takes place at the Grand Lake Touring Center, which in
the
summer is one of the area's fabulous golf courses, and is just
about 30
miles from Winter Park. The race is a 10K freestyle race
that attracts cross country skiers of all levels, so whether you are
out to win or just want to have a good time, you will find a way to
enjoy yourself.
