Grand Lake Classic Cross Country Ski Race

For nearly 30 years, racers and spectators made The Grand Lake Classic Cross Country Ski Race one of the most popular winter events in the area. Usually occuring in Late February or mid March the 10K freestyle race that attracted cross country skiers of all levels.
As the western gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake has much to offer, including some of the best cross country skiing in Grand County. The Grand Lake Classic was often held at the Grand Lake Touring Center, which in the summer is one of the area's fabulous golf courses, and is just about 30 miles from Winter Park.
