Grand Lake Snowshoe Festival
The Grand Lake Snowshoe Festival is an amazing event that takes place over 4 days in mid January. Situated between the western gateway of Rocky Mountain National Park and the Never Summer mountain range, this event provides fun for the whole family all to benefit the Colorado Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Throughout the 4 days of the Grand Lake Snowshoe Festival, there are so many activities it may be hard to choose which ones you want to take part in. From the kickoff concert on the first night to snowshoe races and fun runs, you can get involved in it all or just enjoy the sights of the festival from the sidelines. There are activities for children, seminars and speakers, and even moonlight cross-country ski and snowshoe tours. This event takes place throughout the town of Grand Lake, so if you need a place to stay for the duration of the Grand Lake Snowshoe Festival, there are many great bed and breakfast inns and cabins close to the action.
