From multi-day trips to gentle strolls the trail systems of Winter Park and Rocky Mountain National Park have endless opportunity and variety. But no matter where you explore, chances are summer wild flowers, wildlife, rivers, high alpine lakes, and panoramic views will be awaiting your gaze.

A few trails in the area that are not to be missed include the Blue Sky, Twin Bridges, Continental Divide, Byers Peak, and Grand Lake. The Continental Divide is easily accessed from Rollins Pass, the midpoint between Winter Park Resort and the town of Winter Park. The trail heads west summiting several peaks toward Berthoud Pass where you can continue along moderate terrain. Byers Peak is somewhat of a landmark for the valley as it sits at 12,804 feet and offers incredible panoramic views. Grand Lake trails can access Indian Peaks Wilderness. The looped trail around the lake is also a good one. No matter what, check out a couple backcountry guide services for more information on their services in the area.
