When it comes to vacations in Colorado’s Idaho Springs, there are so many things to do and see. Accommodations in Idaho Springs are just waiting to be discovered, quaint, affordable, comfortable, friendly and downright pleasant. In fact, the town has a little of something for every taste and budget.
Idaho Springs has two main lodgings, an inn and a lodge. However, there are fourteen major campgrounds in and around the town, many of which offer completely free sites. Some in fact offer RV hook-ups. The campgrounds are mainly located close to the Mount Evans Wilderness Area, just at the southern end of the town. A few can also be found close to Golden Gate State Park. However, because of their locations, many only open during the summer and fall as access is hindered during the spring and winter by snow.
