Solvista Skiing Information

Solvista Ski Resort, formerly Silver Creek, is a 5,500-acre mountain paradise nestled into the alpine wilderness near the west entrance of Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park. This family oriented ski resort is home to 33 ski trails on two interconnected mountains with 33 runs and 40 kilometers of groomed Nordic trails. The resort offers a wide range of winter activities combined with excellent services.

Solvista Resort at Silver Creek caters to both skiers and snowboarders, with snowfall annual averages of 220 inches. As its slogan goes – "a ski area for those fueled by hot cocoa, not by adrenaline", this resort offers terrain for all levels of ability with a focus on the family vacation.

Throughout the ski season, Solvista offers events for all members of the family, from a New Year's Eve Torchlight Parade to the Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge. Every weekend there are guided snowshoe tours offered, where you join a member of the Solvista Mountain Host Department on a guided hike throughout the forest and meadows. Hike duration and endurance varies based on guest interest and ability.

Horseback rides and sleigh rides are offered throughout the winter, with dinner and lunch sleigh rides offered with live entertainment. Other winter activities that are fun for all are snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice skating, tubing, and simply enjoying the snow fall while near a warm crackling fire.
