Winter Park Colorado Chair Lift Rides

Whether or not you ski at Winter Park in the winter, you will find riding up its chair lifts just as exciting in the summer. Winter Park operates the Zephyr Mountain Express in the summer which takes you from the village at the base, to an elevation of 10,700 feet. You'll be treated to breathtaking views the of Fraser Valley and the Continental Divide. Keep an eye out for wildlife, and don't forget to bring your wildflower handbook as the ski runs will be covered with a rainbow of flowers.

Once at the top, not only will you be able to bask in sunshine while being surrounded by amazing mountain beauty, you can also grab a bite to eat at the Lodge at Sunspot which serves lunch and snacks. Because of it's breathtaking atmosphere, many couples choose to hold their weddings here. It is best to inquire well in advance if you are envisioning tying the knot at the Lodge at Sunspot.

You may also bring your mountain bike up on the lift so that you can enjoy all the pleasures of downhill biking without the grunting and pain of biking uphill. You won't ride down actual ski runs, however, but cat-track trails for a more gentle descent.
