If you are traveling from Denver to Winter Park, Colorado for a day of skiing try something new and hop on the Amtrak Ski Train, offering direct service from downtown Union Station in Denver to the base of Winter Park Ski Resort. Even if you don't feel like skiing, the Ski Train runs right along the Flatirons and South Boulder Canyon, offering breathtaking views of the Rockies.

 

 

Enjoy the Ski Train's sixty mile ride along scenic areas you can't even see by car. Pass the traffic on I-70, swing through mining areas, and enter over 25 tunnels, some of which are historic along the Continental Divide. Avoid the hassles and stresses of driving to ski and be dropped off right by the lifts at Winter Park, also within easy access to free town shuttles.

The Ski Train carries the largest number of passengers within the country. It runs in the winter as well as on summer weekends and holidays. The train boards at 6:30am, departing Denver at 7:15 and arriving at Winter Park at 9:30am. In the afternoon, the Ski Train departs Winter Park at 4:15 and arrives in Denver at around 6:30pm.
