Located in the beautiful Fraser Valley and enclosed by the Arapaho National Forest, Winter Park is home to numerous activities. Don't be fooled by the name because Winter Park is also a summer playground. Winter Park Resort is easily accessible from Denver for those craving an escape to the mountains, or for those flying into the Denver International Airport. From early June through Labor Day, Winter Park is beaming with non-stop activities and services.

One of the resort's most popular summer activities is top-to-bottom mountain biking for intermediate to advanced riders. Winter Park's extensive mountain bike trail system covers some 500 miles of mapped trails and 200 miles of marked trails. The trails use old logging and ranching roads, sure to delight two-wheeler beginners or experts. For those who prefer hiking boots to bike pedals, Winter Park has designated two trails exclusively for hikers. A chairlift ride on the Zephyr Express delivers hikers to the trailheads of the Nystrom and Ute Trails.

Winter Park is also a great destination for the whole family during the summer months. Families will discover Colorado's longest Alpine Slide, the Amaze'n Human Maze – a popular brain-teaser for the directionally challenged, disc golf - with 18 holes that wind around the summit for 360 degrees of jaw-dropping scenery, the Outdoor Climbing Wall, and Leaps & Bounds Bungee – a safe but thrilling bungee system set up on trampolines.

Iron Horse Resort - Winter Park's Only Full-Service Ski-In/Ski-Out Resort! Located at the base of Winter Park Ski Resort & walking distance to the Ski Area Village.
