Hiking and backpacking opportunities abound in Grand Lake. From challenging to easy, it's all to be found here. There are perfect day hikes which can vary from an easy 3/4 mile walk to beautiful Adams Falls to a 5.25 mile hike to Lake Verna. The Tonahutu Creek/North Inlet Loop is a 27-mile, three day loop for experienced backpackers only. There's horseback riding, water sports and camping, too. The name Grand Lake, of course, means something. Whether you like "flat water" or stream fishing there is plenty of angling action in the area.
