With hundreds of miles of rugged offroad trails, Winter Park is sure to impress even the most experienced adventure drivers. Visitors and locals alike tune up their ATVs and 4 x 4 Jeeps each summer to test their skills on varied terrain surrounded by breathtaking Colorado mountain scenery.
Most visitors take advantage of the numerous ATV and Jeep rental and guide services that are available in Winter Park. Offroad machines are typically available to rent for the day, although multi-day rentals are permitted throughout hunting season.
If you have never been off roading, or would like to know where the best trails are, most rental companies also offer guided tours. Tour packages typically include ATV or Jeep rental, a brief safety lesson and overview, helmets, maps, and gas. It is advised to wear long pants, a jacket, and sunglasses or goggles. Most companies require drivers to be at least 16 years of age with a valid driver's license.
