Overview

Founded in 1940, the Winter Park Ski Resort offers world-class skiing and riding over five interconnected mountain areas: Winter Park (summit: 10,700 ft), Mary Jane (summit: 11,200 ft), Vasquez Ridge (summit: 10,700 ft), Vasquez Cirque (summit: 12,060 ft) and the Parsenn Bowl (summit: 12,060 ft.) The Resort is referenced as having two distinct sides; the Winter Park side, which caters more to the beginner and intermediate skier/rider, in comparison to the Mary Jane side, which is known for its moguls and multitude of advanced and expert runs. The Dark Territory Terrain Park and the NASTAR Racing site are both located on the Winter Park side.

The Winter Park Resort is known for its renowned ski school, making it an excellent place for kids and adults to learn; private and group lessons are available, taught by highly trained instructors.

It is also home to the NSCD (National Sports Center for the Disabled,) one of the largest outdoor therapeutic recreation programs of its kind where they're able to accommodate almost any disability.
