Overview

Though the Winter Park Resort is known for its skiing and riding, visitors can take advantage of other thrilling ventures, on and off the mountain!

Alpine Skiing and Riding

Skiers and snowboarders can happily cruise down these trails of varying difficulty (142 trails in all!) over five interconnected mountains, which are served by two bases: the Winter Park Base, which is a haven for beginners yet still attracts advanced skiers, and the Mary Jane Base, which caters to the more advanced/expert skiers and is famous for its first-class moguls. The Terrain Park is located on the Winter Park side; not only do they offer six parks, with different features to cater to different levels (with Dark Territory being the most advanced!) and its superpipe is considered one of our nation's best!

Snowcat Sightseeing Tours

Ride to the summit in style while taking in the mountain views within the enclosed, cozy cab of a snowcat. Tours are available daily, starting in late December. More info on the Winter Park Resort website.

Snowcat Skiing

Powder Addiction, a snowcat skiing operation, has an office within the Base Village. Sign up to experience the challenging beauty of Jones Pass, where a snowcat acts as a continuous chauffeur while skiers and riders repeatedly carve through pristine backcountry acreage. Trips include powder demo skis, safety gear, lunch & more! Call 970-726-9247 for more information.

Chairlift Tour and Zephyr Express Foot Pass

Purchase a 'Foot Pass' at the Guest Services desk in the Balcony House so you can ride the chairlift to the top of the Zephyr Lift, perhaps grab some lunch at The Lodge at Sunspot, and then walk around the summit.

Ice Skating

Skate and twirl daily on the pond within the retail Village. Bring your own skates or rent skates at the Winter Park Resort Rentals, located within the Slopeside Building of the Zephyr Mountain Lodge, adjacent to the Zephyr Lift.

Ski Biking

A fun way to hit the slopes for non-skiers, rent a ski bike and enjoy a lesson, guided tour, or a night tour.

Snowshoe Tours

A perfect way to explore the mountain, either on your own or with a guide. Register for a guided tour within the Balcony House at the Guest Services desk or grab a trail map and rent snowshoes on your own from Winter Park Resort Rentals (adjacent from the Zephyr Lift).

Snowmobiling

Grand Adventures offers both guided and unguided tours through miles and miles of scenic trails. Groups welcome! Call 800-726-9247 for more information.

Arcade

The Winter P'Arcade is chock full of video games; it is open daily and located within the Base Village.

Winter Park Play Area

This wooden playground, resembling an old locomotive train, is the perfect place for kids to blow off steam. It is located within the Base Village, adjacent to the Cabriolet lift.

Shopping & Dining

Roam the cobblestone streets of the Base Village, or throughout the rest of the Resort's Base, to take advantage of its many boutiques and restaurants.
